This privacy policy describes how EskuMus (“the App”) handles information when you use it. The App is designed as a digital score counter alternative to the physical stones traditionally used in the game of Basque Mus.
We believe in complete data privacy: **EskuMus operates entirely offline and locally on your device.** There are no remote tracking servers, advertising profiles, or cloud databases logging your game data.
Who is responsible
The developer of the App (as listed on the application's source repository or digital store listings) is responsible for the App's behavior on your device.
Information the App Processes
Because EskuMus handles data locally, your data is never broadcast to third parties. The App locally processes:
- Match Configuration Data: Custom team names, match language configurations, and target scoring rules (30 vs 40 Tantos) selected during setup.

Match Timeline & Scores: Score mutations, timestamps, delta point additions, and match progression tracking data (
TimelineEntryandSavedMatchsets) to power the local undo system and display the SVG match match progression graph.
Data Storage & Off-line Nature
To ensure stability when placed flat on a table during match play, all data remains trapped strictly inside your device sandbox:

Mobile Platform (React Native / Expo): Match history and local timeline logs are saved securely using your mobile device’s native isolated storage via
@react-native-async-storage/async-storage. -
Web Platform (React / Vite Simulator): When utilizing the interactive browser-based demonstration, data persists using standard, isolated browser
window.localStorage.
What We Do Not Do
- No Server Sign-ins: The App requires no registration or creation of user profiles.
- No Third-Party Analytics or Ads: We do not deploy advertising SDKs, session-replay utilities, or demographic monitoring cookies.
- No Cloud Transmissions: Match logs remain exclusively on your phone or web storage engine; your final scorelines or local win ratios are never harvested or uploaded.
Children
The App acts exclusively as a visual scoring tray for standard card mechanics and does not gather or transmit personal data from any user, including children under 13.
Data Deletion & Retention
Your historical match logs are retained on your device for as long as the application remains installed. You have total control over removing this data at any point:
- Via the App: Clear individual local entries directly inside the history screen overlay if options are available.
- Via Device OS Settings: Go into your mobile operating system settings, select EskuMus, and choose Clear Data or Clear Storage.
- Via Uninstallation: Deleting the app from your mobile device automatically wipes all local databases and cached match progression files managed by Android or iOS.
- Via Web Browsers: Clearing your internet browser's cookies and local storage parameters completely wipes browser-persisted historical simulation logs.
Changes to this policy
The developer may update this page when new offline features or framework structures are applied to EskuMus. The “Last updated” date at the top will be modified accordingly.
